Foundations of Flow & The Kinetic Chain
This cohort is all about establishing the baseline. We connect the pelvic floor up through the shoulders and arms, learning the core foundational shapes and stitching them into our very first continuous flow.
Anatomy & Somatic Focus
- Pelvic Floor Muscles: Locating and activating the deep slings of the pelvic floor as the foundation of the abdominal canister.
- The Clavicle: Widening the collarbones to open the chest without arching the lower back or losing the core.
- The Wrists: Prepping the hands and wrists for weight-bearing postures to prevent pinching or strain.
- The Hamstrings: Exploring the biceps femoris connection to the sacrum for dynamic force absorption.
September Pose Library
- Venus: The basic standing alignment.
- Artemis: The standing hinge.
- Freya & Persephone: Balance and alignment of the domes.
- Aurora: Kneeling alignment.
- Cactus Arms: Shifting the upper-body fascial lines.
- Gaia (Lift the Seat): Four-point kneeling while activating the back chain.
- Maya (On the Elbows): Four-point kneeling on the forearms.
- Hestia (Legs Out Front): Seated posture.
- Demeter (Grip & Reach): Supine alignment.
- Seline: Supine aligned stretch
September Milestone: Transitioning these static foundational poses into a smooth, rhythmic, linear flow class.
